Today I'm finally sharing my sourdough recipe! It is so fun & so delicious, and I hope this inspires you to start making sourdough! I will list below all of the ingredients & materials mentioned as well as my recipe. Let me know if y'all have any questions, and happy baking! RECIPE: Ingredients: sourdough starter, king arthur unbleached bread flour, salt (any kind), filtered water Feed: 50g starter, 100g filtered water, 100g bread flour (1:2:2 ratio) Once starter is active (has doubled in size, very bubbly): 1. Pour 150g starter into a large bowl. *From here, I put the remaining starter directly back into the fridge. No need to feed it again until the next time you want to use it! 2. Add 350g filtered water. Mix together (I use a big spoon). You want this to look milky. *I heat up my water in the microwave for 30 sec since it comes out of the fridge cold. This helps the dough be ready a little quicker. I do this for the water in the starter too. 3. Add 500g bread flour 4. Add 10g salt 5. Stir with a spoon or spatula. Mix with hands at the end to incorporate any loose flour 6. Cover w plastic and let rest on counter 1 hr 7. 1 set stretch & folds, rest 30 mins, repeat 3 times 8. Let rest 4-8 hrs till doubles in size. Keep an eye on it- the dough will look super puffy and bubbly. It will not be very sticky! *This will take longer if your house is colder. Do NOT put in oven with light on at this point bc it will be too warm- learned the hard way. 9 .Stretch into rectangle on a lightly floured surface and fold and shape 10. Put in banneton upside down and put in fridge overnight (up to 24 hr) 11. Score bread w/ wet bread lame and preheat oven to 450° with dutch oven or bread bowl in it. 12. Bake 25 mins lid on 13.15 mins lid off (this varies) 14. Wait 1 hr to cut into it & enjoy!
