La cathédrale Saint-Just et Saint-Pasteur de Narbonne aurait du être la plus grande Eglise du midi de la France mais seuls le chœur et la première travée de la nef ont été bâtie. Elle reste très spectaculaire en raison de son élévation presque équivalente à sa longueur et du manque de recul qui fait lever la tête très haute pour apprécier les voûtes et les vitraux du 13ème et 14ème siècles. Elle bénéficie en plus du palais épiscopal et de son donjon d’où la vue sur la cathédrale et la ville de Narbonne est exceptionnelle. A l’intérieur, bien préservé et restauré, on trouve les tombeaux de religieux et de remarquables tapisseries et tableaux dans le déambulatoire, les chapelles latérales et absidiales. L’orgue est gigantesque. Bonne visite, agrémentée par un adagio de Liszt. .
