I got to spend time with my friend David Norris, who not only took home his sixth victory but also holds the course record. Running alongside an absolute legend was both humbling and inspiring. The climb was brutal, but it was the downhill that really challenged me—my lack of experience on that kind of steep, technical terrain definitely showed. Huge respect to all the Alaskans who sent it downhill at full tilt like it was nothing. You all are fearless.
