Join Guillaume Kientz, the Director and CEO of The Hispanic Society Museum & Library, for a deeper dive into "Sorolla and the Sea," on view now at the Norton Museum of Art. "Sorolla and the Sea" takes an expansive look at the practice of Spanish painter Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida. Hailed as a "master of light" by none other than French Impressionist Claude Monet, Sorolla was also revered by the people of Spain as one of their last great traditional painters. His work impressively balances the Spanish tradition of Realism with the Modernist trends of the 20th century. "Sorolla and the Sea" features approximately 40 works, on loan from The Hispanic Society Museum & Library for the first time in many decades. This exhibition is on view at the Norton until April 13, 2025.
