A few weeks ago I decided I wanted a quick and easy project that I could finish in a short time. I had a lot of silk scraps leftover from previousl projects and I thought that it would be a fun idea to make some new regency reticules. I’ve made a few in the past, but this time I wanted to try some new models. I made one cone/basked shaped which almost looks an ice cream. I also wanted to make a round reticule, but I didn’t have any fabric for the round front piece and I didn’t want to do any embroidery. But then I had the idea to to do an image instead! So I printed out paintings of Gunnebo House and Gardens and ironed them on to fabric. And I’m so happy with the result! I used a painting of the front of the house on one side and a painting of the back of the house on the other. Just love the idea of walking around in a house and having the same house on my bag! I will definitely make more round reticules in the future. They are just so much fun! Since I was so pleased with the result of the reticules I decided that I needed to make a matching dress. I made a new pattern for this and I’m so happy with the result!
