Weekend in Finland | Finnish crayfish party and a day trip to Saimaa

Hello! There is a tradition in Finland to have a crayfish party (Rapujuhla) with your family in August when the crayfish season starts. The tradition is very old and originated from Sweden where it is called Kräftskiva. You basically just sit down with friends and family to eat crayfish with toasted bread and drink lot's of wine! The day trip was to Kenkävero, a famous vicarage in a city called Mikkeli. The vicarage dates all the way back to 17th century, but most of the buildings that are left are from the 19th century. There is a big garden surrounding the property, where apple trees, blueberries and herbs are grown and the property has its own chickens and lambs. There is also a restaurant inside the main building and the whole property is located right next to Saimaa lake, which is the biggest lake in Finland.
