Short Presentation of my Pine Rosin Artwork "Golden Lion in the Valley" For the picture "Golden Lion in the Valley" I used grass cuttings, long blades of grass, dandelion seeds, cherry tree petals and reeds, the lion's mane is made of birch catkins, the body is made of rock salt crystals, Clouds of brine crust, framework with mirror and broken glass, light and reddish orange cast material. First I made the frame from mirror shards, then the base from plants and grasses with brine. Most of the wild plants and grasses used were used fresh and dried in the sun with brine and crystallized, the lion was assembled from crystals and then the rosin was poured, then the second glass on top. Only at the end did I cast a frame out of epoxy resin, broken glass and sand to hold it in place.
