It balances innocence with awe as Rose discovers her body, her voice, and the terrifying beauty of being alive in a world she does not yet understand. The piece sits at the emotional heart of the show, marking the beginning of Rose’s journey towards independence, identity, and self-determination. A Clockwork Heart is an original queer steampunk musical developed by Paul A.T. Wilson.
