Here's my completed RE/100 MS-08TX/G Efreet Shabh! This took a little while to get finished, but I'm pleased with how it came out! I went for an MSV look and came up with a little fan-fic story for the unit, so here it is: In the year UC 0079, the One-Year-War was coming to a close with Zeon forces on the losing side. A young Zeon Lieutenant Yonem Kirks was put in charge of a team tasked with recovering Zeon mobile suits that could be repaired in secret and used in future missions. One mission, deemed to be top priority, was to recover the MS-08TX9(EXAM) Efreet Custom. Kirks’ team was ordered to take the machine to space, where it would be repaired and re-outfitted for special hit-and-run missions against the Earth Federation (and later, AEUG forces). The EXAM System, however, was to be abandoned. Due to it’s unpredictable and erratic performance, the system could prove to be more harmful to the missions than useful. The newly renamed Efreet Shabh would live up to it’s namesake. In Islamic folklore, the Efreet (or Ifrit) was a malicious flaming spirit that wandered the desert seeking humans to torment. More specific to the machine’s new mandate, “Shabh” in Arabic refers to a ghost or shadow. Aside from general modifications to enhance the mobile suit’s ability to perform in space, the Efreet Shabh was equipped with a long-range high-powered beam rifle that included a specialized disk radome for improved targeting. Yonem Kirks himself piloted the machine as his team was sent to eliminate secluded targets such as supplies ships, outposts, and scouting parties and then disappear once again into the shadows of space. The Efreet retained it’s heat sabers, kept a last resort in case of close-combat, though the the missions were so successful that targets were usually destroyed before ever becoming aware of the threat. Eventually Kirks was called to return to Earth to lead members of the Zeon Remnants in their efforts leading up to the events of UC 0096. He would, however, continue his sniper-style combat with a custom Zaku I until his death at the hands of the Londo Bell elite MS team, the Tri-Stars, in the Zeon Remnants assault on Torrington base, Australia.
