Brooke Pakistan held a well-attended media and press briefing in Lahore showcasing its nationwide flood relief operations. The session drew an enthusiastic mix of national and local media, with major outlets including Geo News, ARY News, Samaa Tv, Dunya Tv, Dawn News, Express News, Public News, Lahore News, Such News, Roze News, GTV actively engaging with Brooke’s presentations on nationwide relief operations and issues such as DST, by Program Manager Dr. Syed Manuchahar Ali and Advocacy Manager, Syed Naeem Abbas, respectively. Senior journalists from the leading print media such as The News, Express Tribune, Dawn and other digital web-desks also attended the event. The audience expressed awe and applause on how Brooke Pakistan Teams went out of the box ensuring survival of working animals and thus safeguarding the lower socioeconomic classes of Pakistan that thrive on them. Naeem also sensitized the national media on priority issues such as illegal slaughtering of donkeys, for donkey skin trade. CEO Brooke Pakistan Dr. Javed Iqbal Gondal presented an overall purview of Brooke with focus on our flood response and relief activities across Pakistan. He also shared close insights on prevailing relief and rescue matrices, factors and stakeholders especially emphasizing on the economic challenges faced by the equine owning communities, Brooke learnt about, during its rehab endeavors.
