Did you know you can get a bus from Central Edinburgh to a beach in only around 25 minutes? You can get either a service 19 or 26 bus to Portabello. Where it is then only a few minutes walk to Portabello Beach. This video features a full uncut journey aboard Lothian Buses service 26 from Waverley Steps(opposite Edinburgh Waverley station) to Portabello Town Hall. Then at the end some footage of the seafront and beach. I couldn't get a front seat on the top deck to film this journey unfortunately. The bus was VERY busy! The journey is filmed from the right hand side of the bus in the direction of travel.
