Maiden Flight: Freewing Mirage 2000

I recently got this model new in box. I really like smaller EDF jets, so I was excited to give this one a go. For those who don't know, it's an 80mm EDF unit, but the airframe is the same size as the 70mm F-16. This version has the 12 blade inrunner. I setup the plane so the control throws and CG were as per the manual's recommendations. I have my own afterburner installed and 3D printed the "upgraded" exhaust cone found on the support page on Motion RC's website. The first flight was a bit sketchy because the CG was tail heavy and the throws were WAY too much. I switched to low rates and turned my gyro gain WAY down. Over the next few flights I reduced the mechanical throws to the minimal amount and turned some travel down on my radio as well. Eventually I got it dialed in and flying great. This thing is definitely a rocket. (And yes, I know I spelled reacquired wrong...)
