In 2008 the group became the 1st ever tribute/impersonator act to appear as the musical guest on Late Show with David Letterman. They were also crowned "Best Tribute Act" by the 28th annual Las Vegas Review Journal Poll in 2009. Purple Reign captures the imagination and raw energy of Prince in his prime and returns you to the era that made "The Artist" an international superstar. This show is a must see for "Purple Rain" movie fans. The audio on the original broadcast had some noticeable glitches. Throughout the show, the bass level on this sounds quite low and after the first break the audio is out of sync during "When Doves Cry." It appears to get back in sync during "Purple Rain." I recorded the later broadcast of this to compare, and it had the same issues. The singer makes a comment at the end of the broadcast about his monitors not working properly. Setlist: 01.
