The patient is a 64-year-old female, who presented with an iron deficiency anemia to her primary care physician. After extensive work up including an upper endoscopies and capsule endoscopies she was found to have Cameron ulcers related to a large hiatal hernia. The capsule endoscopy ensured that there is no unseen lesions in the small bowel and once that was negative it was felt that the only true source of her anemia was the hiatal hernia. The patient has a BMI of 32 with central obesity. The results of her manometry revealed a well normal functioning esophagus with a DCI median of about 1200.
