After World War II Chevrolet was looking to revitalize their aging AK Series of trucks and brought the new Advance Design to the market. The Advance Design series brought forth a new look that was well received and sales were strong. This series would see production from 1947-1955. Here we have a ’49 model and a C30 model C.O.E. What a truck!! These cab over chassis are highly customizable and this one is certainly unique. The red paint looks great and red and white vinyl interior complements the exterior and is in great order. The signage on the truck is a vinyl decal and can be removed. Powering this rig is a fuel injected GM 6.0L V8 from a 2011 Silverado HD. Power is ran to the ground through a rebuilt heavy duty 6L90E 6-speed automatic transmission with manual override option commonly called a “slap-shift”. The truck runs, drives and shifts very smooth. Engine has factory ECM with electric throttle pedal. This C.O.E. is sporting a DANA70 HD Rear End and a 3.73 gear ratio. The transmission combined with the gear ratio makes for a great balance between power and cruising at freeway speeds! Additional items of note: New Wiring by Coach Control, Cruise Control, Vintage Heat & Air, Dakota Digital VHX Gauges, PRC Aluminum Radiator w/Twin Fans (controlled by ECM), Lokar Shifter w/tap shift, New Port wiper motor w/intermittent wiper control, CPP Hydro Boost Brakes, Pioneer Stereo, Touch Screen w/Navigation and Backup Camera, Brake Controller w/7-way plug, and Ididit Tilt Column. The sleeper cab is believed from a 70s era Peterbuilt. This truck appears to have been built strong and to a high caliber!
