Cherry blossom season in Kyoto! (Things To Do, Hidden Gems, Arashiyama, Temples + Great Food!)

It's cherry blossom season in Kyoto and we're exploring the Arashiyama neighborhood. This area has everything, bamboo forests, temples, and tons of cherry blossoms! On this episode of Mapping It, we're spending a day exploring the Arashiyama neighborhood of Kyoto! We start early with a sunrise visit to the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. Then we wander over to a nearby park and find a hidden area filled with cherry blossoms! After a quick lunch, we visit Tenryu-ji Temple and enjoy a relaxing zen garden filled with tons of blooming flowers and cherry trees! In the afternoon, we try Japanese McDonald's and enjoy a Shaka Shaka Chicken, Shrimp Burger, and melon float! That gives us a boost of energy and we spend the afternoon exploring Kinkaku-ji Golden Pavilion. In the evening, we stop by Ramen Sen no Kaze for the best ramen in Kyoto!
