彩虹山位於Cusco東南方，距離約140公里。Vinicunca在當地原住民語中的「彩虹」之意。Vinicunca這些五彩繽紛由流水和風化侵蝕而成的「丹霞地貌」（Danxia landform）原本上面覆蓋了一層厚厚的冰雪，一直到2016年左右因為冰雪融化才顯露出她原本美麗的外貌。這座Vinicunca山後來甚至被直接稱為「彩虹山」（Rainbow Mountain） Rainbow Mountain, located southeast of Cusco, is approximately 140 kilometers away. Vinicunca, which means "rainbow" in the local indigenous language, is known for its vibrant colors formed by the erosion of flowing water and weathering, creating a Danxia landform. Originally covered in thick ice and snow, it wasn't until around 2016, when the ice and snow melted, that its beautiful appearance was revealed.
