Urban Wood Utilization Workshop in Georgia

The Georgia Forestry Commission and Georgia Arborist Association teamed up to promote a workshop this past July of 2023 for industry stakeholders from across the state to learn 1) what is Urban Wood Utilization 2) how is Urban Wood usage growing and 3) what are challenges and solutions to increase the use of Urban Wood before it goes straight to landfills. The workshop was held at UGA's Griffin Campus with over 40 attendees and over a half dozen speakers sharing their challenges and expertise with arborists, foresters, tree company leaders, and urban and community wood coordinators.
