This unique community has a rich cultural heritage which developed over a long period of time. The Bauls are mostly illiterate and come from the peasant community. Their way of life has been formed through the direct and indirect interactions of ritualistic and cultural folk beliefs and ideas. They were greatly influenced by Sahajiya Vaishnavism, Hindu Tantric thoughts, Buddhism and Sufism. Therefore, it was a mixture of different cults, which led them to establish a distinct secular view of their own. In the process, they created/forged their own philosophy – way of life, habits and practices. Let us now try to understand how the Bauls and their vision/Philosophy are interwoven with different cultures. To understand the Baul cult we have to go through the history of Bengal. Baul roots are not only deep, they are also entangled with different cultures. They do not believe in rules and regulations pertaining to the orthodox religion. Their way of achieving ‘moksha’ is different from any other orthodox view; they offer a fresh insight towards seeking the Supreme Power. In Baul philosophy the human body is accorded the highest value. According to them, the human body is the microcosm of the universe. They consider the human body as a temple where the Supreme Lord resides. ◆Baul !! This is not just a word, it is The Paths, Life Style of living, The Journey towards self , with in self. Baul Songs are the part of the Baul Philosophical Spiritual practice. So as per the Baul Philosophy Says each of the Baul Songs has very Specific information contained of Spirituality. The Baul Lyrics writers are known as Mahajan or Goswami. They are try to give some wonderful message to the World though their Songs. That is why I am trying to say something through my documentary film "A Baul The Searcher ". Because it's feels bad when I found out that it's becoming a business of making money in now days. We are using to tell some moral story but we are not going apply it in our life. Nature is born, character is built, and personality is developed. If nature is such, then it is not easy to change a person's nature, If we see the difference there is between one soul and another, which is sometimes as wide as the distance between earth and sky. Baul Songs are giving us the opportunity to learn about the possibilities of making our life better, not only go through but growing through life, Humanity, Learn more to choose, how to choose, what to choose etc. I'm not able to talk about the Baul Philosophical Spiritual knowledge.
