We found ourselves in a bit of a conundrum. We had airline tickets and hotel reservations in Nairobi, but then a terrorist attack took place by Al-Shabaab just days before we were supposed to arrive. We didn't want to skip this beautiful Kenyan city, and we definitely wanted to visit the orphaned baby elephants and the giraffe center.
