An animation I made along with guests to the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden in which we 'evolved' 'orchids' using an evolutionary paper game I came up with. People first made flowers based off of my original, but then I introduced a bee, and explained that while we might like the look of a flower, the bee, or pollinator, is really what the plant is after. To simulate 'bee vision' I had people look through red plastic lenses, after which you would notice that your flower would be invisible if you colored it red, and have to adjust accordingly. I then got them to select for flowers that looked the most like bees (as the real bee orchid has) to attract the fuzzy pollinators even more.
