A Tribute to a legand, Bazza, I had recorded this tune The Old rugged Cross in my studio last year because the family love this old tune. I grew up with the sound of Bazza and Slim Dusty and the way I had learnt playing the guitar hearing Bazza and Slim on 2WEB Bourke and others, also with a couple of pointers from dad Robert Reece. Dad had played along side with Bazza one time way back the in the days at Newtown Sydney NSW, and only if we had camras, mobile phones back then. It was a honour to met Bazza when he was near the towns and at Tamworth when he was performing, Dad usely let us when he was in town and we dropped everything and go to the shows. When I started performing my self, I had thanked Bazza for his style, his way of music, and for the sound that was coming from the GIB. I will never forget the day when I had first herd Bazza backing slim, and I think the song was You can never do wrong in a mothers eyes. RIP mate with great respect.
