India’s DRDO Tests Guerrilla Warfare Missile Successfully The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has achieved a significant milestone with the successful flight test of the Man Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile (MPATGM). This third-generation weapon system was tested at the KK Ranges in Ahilya Nagar to validate its precision against moving targets using top-attack capability. Developed indigenously under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative, the MPATGM features a state-of-the-art Imaging Infrared (IIR) Seeker that ensures fire-and-forget functionality in both day and night conditions. The missile is equipped with a tandem HEAT warhead designed to defeat modern main battle tanks protected by explosive reactive armor. With an effective range between 200 meters and 4 kilometers, this lightweight system offers immense tactical flexibility for infantry units.
