Here's a quick and easy way to get your shoes locked down at the heel and prevent, blisters, black toenails or slippage as a hiker, runner, obstacle course racer or simply an outdoor enthusiast. If you get blisters on your heels or you can feel your feet moving around inside your shoe there’s actually a simple solution for that! This is how to execute the Heel Lock or Lace Lock, look for the extra last hole of your shoes to create loops on each side, by inserting the lace in backwards we create a small loop to use as a lock, once we have loops on both sides we cross our laces and insert them into the loop on the other side, now pull down toward the shoe to create a nice firm lock, finally lace your shoes as you normally would.
