2023 UPDATE: Back in 2018 I was looking for a pickup upgrade for my Jackson guitar. I couldn't find any demo on YouTube reviewing the differences between these two, so I decided to do one myself in case people were on the fence of buying a Duncan Distortion. When I first made this video, my editing, recording and playing skills were kind of lackluster. That being said, this might not be the tightest sounding demo out there, but it does give a pretty on point comparison between the two pickups. I hope you enjoy and that it helps you make a decision. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is a comparison between two bridge pickups: the stock pickup on my Jackson Dinky JS20 and the Duncan Distortion. Both have been recorded into Reaper using free VST plugins. The EQ is set flat, apart from some higher frequencies removed to avoid buzzing. Which one is your favourite? Write down in the comments!
