the world's largest ice & snow festival takes place in the northeastern city of Harbin, in Heilongjiang province, China. as someone who has intentionally escaped the European winter for the past three years, you wouldn't expect me to purposefully travel to somewhere that is -27 degrees. but I did, and it was amazing!!
