Caught on camera: State Trooper narrowly avoids being hit by vehicle

On February 13, New York State Troopers from Troop B were conducting an accident investigation at the intersection of Route 458 and State Route 30 in the town of Duane. Troopers say a black SUV ran through a stop sign and collided with a Trooper's vehicle. The driver stated he failed to observe the posted stop sign due to sunlight impairing his vision. His vehicle struck Trooper Martin and subsequently collided with her unoccupied patrol vehicle. The occupants of the vehicle were evaluated on-scene and declined medical attention.
