Iced Tea 3 Ways | How to Make Iced Tea 3 Ways Since summer is at its peak hotness, I decided to share with you 3 of my refreshing iced tea recipes that I love and guzzle down like a crazy person! Pineapple peach green matcha tea, strawberry peach rooibos tea, and my version of an arnold palmer. I know going to the store and buying iced tea is way easier. I hear ya. But what you don’t realize is that half of those teas are FILLED with preservatives, ridiculous amounts of sugar, and artificial fruit flavors. There is ZERO health benefits to drinking those. But with these teas, not only do they taste amazing and cool you down on a hot day, they are sooo good for your body! So it is WORTH the extra 10 minutes it takes to make it. When I drink just 4 glasses of the iced matcha green tea a day, I have so much energy! And the strawberry raspberry rooibos tea is my favorite taste wise, but rooibos has insaneee health benefits as well. In fact, there is not one part of the body that rooibos doesn’t benefit. Can your store bought tea do that?! P.S. Don’t mind my pimple face. No matter how much tea I drink, my endo won’t allow me to have clear skin. Oh well, I’m human. Set aside. In a heavy bottomed sauce pan over medium high heat add peaches, mango, pineapple, ¼ cup water, and sugar. Stir and bring to a simmer. Simmer until fruit breaks down and becomes mushy. About 8 minutes. Optional Blend with an immersion blender until smooth. In a large pitcher add fruit puree, green tea, and the remaining 6 cups of cold water. Add fresh peaches if you wish and garnish with mint. Refrigerate until cold. Strawberry Raspberry Rooibos Tea | Ingredients | ¾ Cup Frozen Raspberries ½ Cup Frozen Strawberries ¼ Cup Sugar ¼ Cup Water 5 Rooibos Tea Bags 12 Cups Water ½ Teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract | Instructions | In a heat proof container, steep rooibos tea packets in 6 cups hot water for 5 minutes. Set aside. In a heavy bottomed sauce pan over medium high heat add strawberries, raspberries, ¼ cup water, and sugar. Stir and bring to a simmer. Simmer until fruit breaks down and becomes mushy. About 8 minutes. Optional Blend with an immersion blender until smooth. In a large pitcher add fruit puree, rooibos tea, vanilla, and the remaining 6 cups of cold water. Add fresh strawberries if you wish and garnish with mint. Refrigerate until cold. Courtney’s Arnold Palmer | Ingredients | 1 Cup Sugar 1 Cup Lemon Juice 3-5 Black Tea Bags (Use more if you like stronger tea) 12 Cups Water | Instructions | In a sauce pan over medium high heat, bring 2 cups of water and 1 cup sugar to a boil. Continue to boil until sugar is completely dissolved. This is your simple syrup. Set aside. In a heat proof container, steep black tea packets in 4 cups hot water for 3-5 minutes. Set aside. Juice lemons removing any seeds. In a large pitcher combine, black tea, simple syrup, lemon juice, and remaining 5 cups of cold water. Add sliced lemons and mint for garnish. Refrigerate until cold.
