For today's unboxing review we bring you the 2017 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, a car that we're sure most of you are quite familiar with. We previously unboxed its coupe counterpart, the Challenger Hellcat and, obviously, we had very few unkind words about it. Same goes for the four-door Charger, powered by that same and utterly brilliant supercharged 6.2-liter V8 with, once again, 707 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. Unlike in the Challenger Hellcat, the Charger Hellcat can only be had with the 8-speed automatic transmission and not a standard 6-speed. Power goes directly to the rear wheels, which you must bear in mind when driving this thing on wet pavement; fish tailing is all too easy. Trust us. But behind all of that power is a fantastic daily driver that can fit the entire family. Nothing like driving around a muscle car sedan with a couple of kids in the backseat. They'll grow up to be better people. Our tester was painted in our color of choice - Red Clear Coat - and wore a set of killer 20-inch SRT Matte Black forged wheels wearing Pirelli all-season tires. Some standard features include Brembo high-performance brakes and FCA's excellent Uconnect infotainment and NAV system, ever so clearly laid out on an 8.4-inch color display. Our Charger also came with the $1,995 Harmon Kardon upgraded audio system which we think is worth the price. Downsides? Few, mainly price and fuel economy. But no matter. This is how America does things, the most powerful production sedan on Earth. Enjoy the review!
