For the last 6 weeks I have been using an OM System OM1 mk2 with the 40-150, 8-25 and 12-40 lenses. Although primarily a landscape and woodland photographer I have tried to put the kit through its paces in other genres as well as an extensive 4 day shoot in the Highlands of Scotland. You can see the first one here if you haven't seen it already. • The OM Systems OM1 mk2 for landscape photo... The reason for this? Well, as I explain in the video, I have a few trips lined up, the primary one being to Lofoten in Norway and I need a bit of back-up in case I slip or my current Z7ii breaks. I have already bought an OMD E-M1X which I use for macro and I am investigating whether or not investing in an OM System OM1 mk2 and the aforementioned lenses would serve as a completely different back up kit, or indeed whether to completely switch if it will shoot landscapes, woodland and seascapes as well as my Nikon Z system does. So this video goes through various genres of photography to help me make that decision. I'll talk about macro, travel, still life, architecture, street, portraiture, sports, wildlife and, of course, seascapes, woodland and landscapes. I'll rate each system out of 2 for each category and we'll come up with a winner for ME and MY USES in photography. Thanks again to Clare Harvey-May for lending the kit, I really appreciate it.
