This is a timelapse version of the final four hours of a Maine Coon Cat tutorial I created for my Patreon channel. In this timelapse I talk you through what I'm doing while also discussing my thoughts about how I tackle different elements of drawing in pastels. The order in which I draw and some tips on how to achieve realistic results. You need to be paying attention to the direction of fur as well as what’s in the background and what’s closest to the viewer - which helps you work out the order in which to put your pastels down on the page! You also need to have something dark enough in the background for your highlights to sit on, to help them really pop off of the page.
