In this segment, we re-test the piano after the hardening solution has been applied, with some before & after samples to listen to. While the tone is far from being supple and refined (Hyrum will refine this later on in the series) one can observe a marked improvement in the power and clarity of tone in the piano, with many of the "dead spots" alleviated from undergoing this process. Hyrum also guides us through the process of finding the optimal "strike point" in the piano - the best positioning for the hammers to strike the strings for better singing tone and clarity.
