The dance is called "Bal Maidens" named after the hardworking women of the Cornish mines who crushed the rocks at the surface. From Wreckers web page. We are Wreckers Border Morris and we’re from the Tamar Valley in South East Cornwall. That’s the water-filled bit between Cornwall and England. We are a true border side, as we are on the Celtic border. We dance traditional border dances written by various members of the side (past and present).
