Another fantastic place in southern Shanxi Province! I came here not expecting much but it really blew me away. The Castle of Chancellor Chen is a vast family compound in Yangcheng Xian, just outside of Jincheng in Southern Shanxi Province. Full of art, beautiful architecture and amazing gardens - this place is a GEM! Once home to Chen Tingjing, a former Qing dynasty Chancellor, tutor to the Kangxi emperor and chief editor of the famous Kangxi dictionary - there is plenty to explore here!
