War of the Wildcats (AKA In Old Oklahoma) I downloaded this movie from the Archive in low quality SD and upscaled the original version to HD using standard AI upscaling, with AI facial enhancement set to 55% and sharpening set to 5%. This produced the restored black-and-white version. I then colorized this restoration using soft AI settings and reduced the saturation to minimize the red flash as much as possible. The entire process took just over 37 hours to complete. I've included a short video showcasing some of the process involved in the enhancement. If you'd prefer not to watch it, you can skip to 00:07:08 to watch the black & white version or 01:45:16 for the colorized version. Colorization is never 100% perfect. You may notice red flashes, grey body parts, and incorrectly colored objects. I do my best, which is why I always include the black-and-white version for you to enjoy. I hope you enjoy this work! "In Old Oklahoma (1943), directed by Albert S. Rogell, is set in 1906 on the Oklahoma Indian lands. It follows cowboy Dan Somers (John Wayne), who battles a ruthless oil tycoon, Jim Gardner (Albert Dekker), for control of valuable oil leases. Both men find themselves captivated by the charming schoolteacher, Cathy Allen (Martha Scott). As tensions rise over the oil rights, a romantic rivalry ensues, with Cathy torn between the two men. The film explores themes of greed, honor, and love set against the backdrop of the burgeoning oil industry in the American frontier."
