This is a restored clip from a rare documentary filmed by my father, Gary Feblowitz, for Animal Planet in 1995. It includes what is believed to be the first footage ever captured of a wild Sumatran tiger in its natural habitat—shot deep in the jungles of Indonesia. In the same expedition, my father also documented a Sumatran tiger involved in a fatal human encounter. He often recalled one particular shoot—filming a tiger in an enclosure after it had killed a villager—as the most terrifying experience of his life, because the tiger was hunting him as he was trying to film it. This footage has never been made publicly available online until now. I've carefully restored and upscaled it to 4K to preserve his work and legacy. Original format: MiniDV tape, circa 1995 Restoration: AE 4k upscale, color corrected Please note: This may be subject to copyright by Discovery/Animal Planet. I'm sharing this as part of a personal archival project to preserve my dad’s work for future generations.
