Woodpecker Rally - Pure Sound & Highlights! 2025

A return to rallying for me and a return to the forests for the British Historic Championship, which headlined the 2025 edition of the Phil Price Memorial Woodpecker rally. A day of two halves with neither feeling like an August summery day. The morning was cloudy and grey with the odd spot of sun, and then the heavens opened towards the end of the run, leading to a very soggy second pass through the stage for the crews. A few big delays plagued the event, with some competitors not starting Stage 1 until the early afternoon! All in all, a great day in Mid-Wales with great driving on display, including the likes of Osian Pryce and Rhys Yates, both former British Championship front-runners, getting some RAC prep in by tackling the event in Ford Escort MK2s. The national event was won by Pryce, and the interclub by Elliot Payne in his Ford Fiesta Rally2.
