Here is another rare Snipets segment! This one from an original film print with the Snipets "patchwork" and Kaiser Broadcasting logos. These would air on Kaiser Broadcasting / Field Communications stations such as WFLD Channel 32 in the 70's and 80's. This was one of nine segments produced by Stephen Fisch, a freelance producer, during December of 1976.. This one features the older "patchwork" logo of Snipets as well as a different group of kids saying "Snipets!". We also have a much fuzzier, broadcast version of the Field Communications version of this Snipets - which I would assume is the 2nd incarnation of it: • [broken] Snipets - "New Kid In The Neighbo... This segment is about learning to empathize with and accept a new person into a group, in this case some kids playing kickball. "Smiles Are Friend-Makers" Ending title card with voiceover (by ??) reading same text: "Snipets is a production of Kaiser Broadcasting Company." (1977 copyright date) This first aired on all Kaiser Broadcasting stations in Spring 1977 (most notably to us on good ol' WFLD Channel 32) and would be aired periodically after Field acquired said stations (albeit with titles that reflected the new owner) through that company's early 1980's implosion. About The Museum of Classic Chicago Television: The Museum of Classic Chicago Television's primary mission is the preservation and display of off-air, early home videotape recordings (70s and early 80s, primarily) recorded off of any and all Chicago TV channels; footage which would likely be lost if not sought out and preserved digitally. Even though (mostly) short clips are displayed here, we preserve the entire broadcasts in our archives - the complete programs with breaks (or however much is present on the tape), for historical purposes. For information on how to help in our mission, to donate or lend tapes to be converted to DVD, and to view more of the 4,700+ (and counting) video clips available for viewing in our online archive, please visit us at: http://www.fuzzymemories.tv/index.php...
