2 εκατοστά κόβουμε και ανάλογα πόσο χονδρή είναι η σωλήνα κόβουμε το μήκος περαστε το και 2 φορές σας ευχαριστώ In this short video I want to share with you this simple idea that I tried once, and it seems to be holding nicely. When a metal pipe burst due to freezing, I fixed it with a piece of bicycle inner tube, which I cut longitudinaly making it a tape, wrapping it around the broken part and securing it with a piece of metal wire. I did this fix almost 10 years ago, and I litteraly forgot to properly fix it or replace the pipe. It held on very good. But it depends on the system pressure. If the pressure of the whole area rises, then it might start leaking. But for low pressures like 2 or 3 bar, it held on pretty nice. The securing can also be done wiht a simple metal clamp, and it can deffinately work even as a temporary fix, until the plumber properly replaces the faulty pipe. The trick with freezing temperatures is to let the tap open just enough, so that a small amount of water pass through, and keeps moving inside the plumbing, keeping the temperature slightly higher than the surrounding environment, and preventing water from freezing inside the pipe, and therefore braking it. Of all the pipes I had available, the PPR pipe proves to be the most durable in freezing conditions, holding up to -35° C, while the copper pipes and the other types can't realy handle very low temperatures (with water inside them). The width of the improvised tape I made is about 2cm, and when wrapping it, I pull it as far as I can and cover the previous layer about 50%, so that there's enough material to cover the damaged part. And you can make more than one pass, going back and forth, it's totally fine. Thanks for watching, and if you like what you see, consider subscribing.
