Mix them in a bowl and wash them 2 to 3 times with water and strain out. Now soak them in water for 10 to 12 hour , you can also do it overnight if you wanna make it next morning . After 10 to 12 hours, drain out the water and put them in Pressure cooker and dip in water , add 1 teaspoon of Kashmiri Red Chilli and 2 teaspoon of oil. Take whistles , after 4 to 5 whistle you can see they are cooked very nicely, Mesh them using Mesher (biloni - traditionally ). Let it cook on medium flame . Now Take a Kadai pan, add 2 tablespoon of ghee, 1 teaspoon of Cumin seed, 1 tablespoon of Ginger garlic paste, roast it , add 2 teaspoon of Red chilli powder and 1/4 teaspoon of asafoetida . Add tomato pury of 4 to 5 tomatoes, add salt as per taste. Let the spices and tomato cook. You can see Tomato has changed texture and released ghee, add this to daal in cooker , mix it well . Add water , lukewarm ( warm water to maintain taste ) for consistency and quantity . Add Butter , and mix well, let the daal cook as much as it gets cook it gives good texture as you know this is a makhan dal rich in buttery and creamy texture ! Add Fresh cream and mix it well , garnish Dry Kashti methi . Take a tadka pan ,add 1 tablespoon of ghee and butter , 1 teaspoon of kashmiri red chilli powder , add this final tadka to dal . Mix it well. Garnish with fresh varinder leaves.Your rich creamy buttery tasty Dal Makhni is ready to serve ! Serve with jeera rice , tandoori or naan roti 👍 Traditionally this daal is made in 10 to 12 hours in Punjab by cooking in Handis but we have told you today easiest way to make quick tasty dal makhni with same taste and texture!
