Beetles are back at the top of the meta - and this time, they might be stronger than ever. In this game, I pivoted into an Undead Overflow Beetles BUILD featuring Catacomb Crasher, Silky Shimmermoth, Titus Rivendare, Timewarped Warghoul, and Cadaver Caretaker. The synergy between Overflow Beetles and Catacomb Crasher creates absurd scaling potential, especially when combined with Titus to multiply the value of every deathrattle. Once the engine starts rolling, the stats escalate at a pace very few compositions in the current metagame can keep up with. My goal this match was simple: beat the beetle record I had set earlier that same day. Even though I assembled the full setup relatively late, the scaling ceiling proved to be far higher than expected. With proper positioning and timing, Silky Shimmermoth becomes the centerpiece of a board that can spiral completely out of control. I also demonstrate several important techniques for the Buddy Anomaly, including how to leverage N’zoth’s Buddy to turn your entire board golden. Understanding when to commit to the pivot, how to maximize Catacomb Crasher triggers, and how to structure your deathrattle order are key elements if you want to consistently succeed with this strategy. This wasn’t a perfectly played game - it was the final match of my stream and fatigue definitely played a role - but the power level of the composition speaks for itself.
