Back to School Event: Vecinos Unidos for Education 2024

On August 31, 2024, our annual back to school event was held to bring awareness to our underfunded school system and help children. The underfunded schools are predominantly in immigrant/indigenous communities because there isn’t enough property-tax in the area that goes to our schools. Our organization is connected to these communities that express the needs for their children. We promote the importance of giving children from disadvantaged backgrounds supplies to go back to school and be ready to learn. We want to even out the playing field.
