We had added Toyama to our itinerary as a mere stopover, without much thought or expectation. Yet, from the moment we stepped into this captivating city, Toyama embraced us with its charm, making us wonder why we hadn't heard more about it before. Let me take you through our journey in Toyama, a city that quickly won our hearts. Imagine gliding down the Matsukawa River, where each bend reveals a new vista, or savoring the depth of flavor in Toyama's Black Ramen and the delicate sweetness of Glass Shrimp. Our guide doesn't stop there; we ventured out to Iwasehama, a quaint port and beach town, adding a refreshing coastal twist to our exploration. Our tale begins with the majestic Toyama Castle, its history seeping through the ancient walls. We wandered around Toyama Castle Ruin Park, each step taking us back in time.
