Anno 1800 - Preparing the New World to Total War

In this Anno 1800 episode, I show you how to turn your New World economy into the backbone of a future war machine. We develop both of our New World islands so they don’t just supply the Old World capital, but also support each other with smart internal trade. First, we fix the classic problem: one island has too much rum but not enough tortillas, while the other has the opposite issue. I set up our very first trade route between both islands so they can balance their production and stay self-sustaining. Once our internal logistics are stable, we create a new trade route from the New World back to the Old World to feed our capital with rum, tortillas and other key resources. From there, we start upgrading and expanding our fleet, improving our fixed defenses, and preparing everything for a future attack on our enemies.
