Reflection - Extended Scene. Fan Animation

Animation based on the storyboard of the extended scene “Reflection” from Mulan with the voice of Lea Salonga. The Disney storyboard for this song, which was cuted, inspires me greatly; it's where we see Mulan's untamed character prematurely. I like that they left that for later, but I wanted to animate it remaining as faithful to the story as possible, as personal project. I couldn't have work on it without the wonderful designs and animations by Mark Henn and Alex Kupershmidt. Mulan is quite a challenge! Full of subtleties in acting. Animating Khan was what I enjoyed the most; he's my favourite Disney horse, so brave and empathetic to Mulan. The cranes... let's just say it was close to meditation for me, haha. Thanks to the two effects artists, Daniel Barón and Alex Laviada. Your work was exquisite! Happy 27th anniversary for Mulan this month, my favourite Disney film!
