They knew God’s Word and lived in a world that was very good. But the serpent spoke to Eve with words that sounded pleasing and wise. Satan did not force Eve to sin. Instead, he used three voices: the desire to see what looked good, the desire to have what felt good, and the desire to be like God. Eve listened, believed the lie, and disobeyed God. This shows us that sin often begins with listening to the wrong voice. When God’s Word is questioned and replaced by desire and pride, the heart slowly moves away from God. That is why God’s people must learn to listen carefully and trust God alone. 📖 Bible Readings: Genesis 3:6 (Genesis 2-3; Matthew 4:1-11; 1 John 2:15-17; 1 Peter 5:8; Revelation 12:9) 👨🏻💻 Teachings: Three “sweet” voices of Satan: 1. The voice of lust of the eyes. 2. The voice of lust of the flesh. 3. The voice of pride of life. 💪🏼 Applications: 1. Acknowledge only the voice of God. 2. Be careful with who you listen to. 3. Confess early—to God and to the right person. 🎙Discussion: What temptations are you facing right now? Alternative questions: 1. What have you learned from this devotion? 2. How can you practically apply our devotion? 🙏🏼 Prayer: Lord, I confess how easily I am drawn to the “sweet” voices of temptation—the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life. Forgive me when I choose my way instead of Yours. Teach me to listen only to Your voice and to be careful about the people and influences I allow into my heart. When I stumble, give me humility to confess quickly—to You first, and then to the right person who can help me walk in truth. Fill me with Your grace and guard my steps.
