Aqua One Mini Reef 90 Litre – Part 2

This is my Aqua One Mini Reef 90 Litre upgraded from a established 65 litre AIO tank. This is the second video and I will regularly do a video to document the progress of this tank. This tank is my 4th Nano. I started with a 24ltr Fluval Edge, then to the 42 Litre Edge with a 20 Litre sump/display tank, then an Ocean Reef AIO 65 Litre. I'm still learning and there are so many things I need to research. Every time I plan and Upgrade – the tank seems to get bigger. I've had most of the fish and corals since I started - nearly 5 years ago. So please Subscribe, leave a comment or ask a question. I've finally added the next batch of corals (the sensitive ones) into the display. They were in a rubbermaid vats for a couple of weeks whilst the new Aqua One Mini Reef 90 settles in. I was expecting a mini cycle - but I don't think it happened. I still have a few small Acro frags and a bubble tip anemone in my transfer vat (NSW changes of 40% every 3 days – getting exhausting) that I could add. Im still unsure about it. Maintenance Regime: 20% water changes every 10 days with NSW Skimmer cleaned every 4 days | It is still breaking in. Water top up is with RO water Coral fed fortnightly with mysis and coral snow 5ml of AcroPower after every water change Chemipure Blue running on a reactor is changed monthly. Filter sock interchanged every 5 days. Testing: I've given up on regular testing 2 years ago. I get so caught up and get very myopic chasing numbers for such a small tank and I cause more swings than if I left the tank alone. I just study the tank and know if something is not right then I will do a water change. I do have NYOS testing kits and will use it if Corals and Fish are not behaving as they should. Future Plans: Install a Chiller + Maybe an Apex Unit to help me get a constant water temp A bigger and custom made ATO tank that sits outside the cabinet. A modified Aquaclear 70/100 HOB as a refugium. Go bigger!! in a few years.
