Textile artist Emese Kádár's 'Fragmentation' series on exhibit until July 14, 2023

This afternoon I saw in person the 'Fragmentation' series by artist Emese Kádár (IG: @kadaremese) If you look at the images, there's no doubt Emese is one of the best contemporary textile artists out there who are excellent in tapestry weaving. In this series she combines the classic and the contemporary. If you remember how files in diskettes get corrupted, you'll get an idea of what the concept of the artworks is about. Alsp, these huge diskettes have holes in the corners just like the ones we used to have in the 90s. Emese also innovates. The handwoven artworks are integrated into handmade stainless steel framework with stands that can fold flat for storage and easy transport so that they do not need to be hung on the wall. They are free-standing like sculptures.
