Dirty Well Water In Pool Turned Crystal Clear

Filled my pool with well water, and of course it looked like apple juice. So I looked on the internet and found this simple way to build a filter, as I did not want to add a lot of chemicals to the pool that my three toddlers were going to swim in. It is a five gallon bucket with LOTS of holes drilled in the top and bottom and filled with stuffing from one of our couch pillows ( AKA poly-fill). it took about a day and a half of the pump running with the homemade filter to clear up the water. I found it interesting that the standard pool filter did not trap and of the iron, It was not even discolored. But the 5 gallon bucket sure did. Hope this helps other people get out and have fun in there pools cheaply.
