Shubhankar Mishra — He has been an anchor on several national news channels and is currently on YouTube, running podcasts. But why are we talking about him? On 23rd August 2025, he uploaded a podcast on his channel with Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Ji. That podcast has already been watched millions of times, but one particular part of it has stirred a lot of discussion. In that section, Shubhankar asked Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Ji a question about Premanand Ji Maharaj. To summarize, quoting social media and Khan Sir, Shubhankar said that it was a miracle that Premanand Ji Maharaj’s life was continuing without kidneys. Rambhadracharya Ji Maharaj rejected any claim of a miracle. After that, he further said things like — “Let him speak Sanskrit before me, or explain the meaning of the Sanskrit verses I recite. He is like a child to me, even in age. For me, the real miracle is when someone has mastered the scriptures.” But Shubhankar did not stop there. Citing Khesari Lal Yadav, he pushed the question further. Rambhadracharya Ji clarified that he had no enmity with Premanand Ji. Again Shubhankar stretched the point, bringing up Premanand Ji’s popularity. To that Rambhadracharya Ji replied, “Yes, it is good, but such popularity is fleeting. It is good, but to call it a miracle, that I cannot accept.” I personally feel deep disappointment with the entire podcast — its intent, its purpose, and its impact. In the same podcast, Shubhankar even asked Rambhadracharya Ji about the personal relationship between Dinesh Lal Yadav Nirahua and Amrapali. Even after receiving an answer, he repeated the same question — “Nirahua called Amrapali his wife before you, but in another interview, called her a friend.” Rambhadracharya Ji simply said, “I cannot comment on this. My stature is far above such matters.” Then why ask a religious leader questions about the private relationships of two actors? What meaning do such questions have?
